‘…get crafty with cardboard tubes!”
This easy to follow and create craft book, using primarily recycled cardboard tubes, provides 51 different crafts that children will enjoy creating. Step-by-step visual diagrams along with the simply written instructions lead to a finished colourful (photographed) craft. Crafts include animals, puppets, vehicles, buildings, seasonal decorations, and some practical tools, e.g. Dinosaur Desk bins, for holding desk supplies. Additional materials suggested for completing the crafts include common materials found at local dollar/craft stores and/or often available in school art rooms e.g. construction paper, glitter, ribbon, felt, googly eyes, paint.
Primary children will enjoy these crafts, with support. Intermediate elementary students will want to try these crafts on their own. A great addition to the ever popular craft genre and/or suitable for Alberta’s science curriculum; Grade 1: Building Things; Grade 3: Building with a Variety of Materials. It will provide resources for hosting a cardboard challenge.
