Betty Bunny Wants a Goal

Reviewed by:

Young Betty Bunny is eagerly anticipating scoring during her very first soccer game. Her coach said she was a handful, did Betty misunderstand what that may have meant? She was aiming to score at least 10 goals in her first game. As eager as humorous Betty was, soon she became disenchanted and stated, “I’m never playing again”. Betty was encouraged by many to keep on trying her best and not to give up. The important lesson of persevering and diligent practice has been presented. Betty decides to embrace this and finds that her perseverance pays off. Young reader’s will easily relate to the story character. Betty Bunny will inspire young readers to try their best and to realize that hard practice will make a difference. Use this book for goal setting and celebrating growth in personal best efforts.
