La mocassin:The Moccasin: M’g’sn

Reviewed by:

When Te-Jean is asked what he has on his feet, he explains to a creature, part rabbit, part deer, what his moccasins are made of, and shares his knowledge about the moccasins made and worn by indigenous peoples across Canada.  Alternating pages of simple text (in French, English, and Micmac) and collage-created images, make it a rich, but an easy read.
Part of a series on Indigenous Clothing, this tri-lingual book focuses upon the moccasin, while other books in this series  (the blanket, the ribbon shirt, the blanket, and the arrow sash) can be found at Editions Hannenorak
