The Young Elites

Historical legend quality to this book, and Marie Lu is an amazing author, I had to add her in my top 5.  The main character is strong, vivid, awesome ball of hatred, and vengefulness, it’s sorta of hard to really like her but on the other hand you don’t want to cross her either.  She’s one of the rare children who lived through a terrible blood disease that took most of the population.  She was spared and left with a jagged scar (mark) where her left eye used to be.  It’s a classic pygmalion story of an unwanted and abuse child that becomes a fearless leader.  It’s a mystical tale, suitable for any people who enjoy epic battles and renaissance opulence.
